http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/241386-Arsenal-fixtures Bizarre that Arsenal fans complain about playing big games back-to-back but then say they are not phobic about playing top sides and can beat the best. That's what you need to do to win trophies; beat Spurs at Wembley on Sunday then Barcelona on Wednesday. If they had seen Iva and co defend today, they need not worry about next week. Walcott will destroy us! You should embrace back to back big games, you win these games to win trophies. If arsenal with all their stability cannot take advantage of the big 3 being in transition this year they never will
You're right, Arsenal have looked a very good team this year and should embrace the big games. They are pretty young and still look about 3 players short of being really good, but they have to have a go. We seem to be up for all the big games then stuff up the "little "ones. Don't know which is more frustrating !! Got a feeling we will roll them again.
I think we get caught between trying to play more defensively, whilst trying to play our attacking game against the big sides and the result is that we don't play to our strengths. Against City we tried to sit back and absorb their attacks and it was suicide. City are too good going forward and we should have done more to attack their weaker areas, which for me is their fullbacks. We still managed to put three past city and but for some terrible offside decisions it could have been 5. Fortunately for us, Chelsea's defence looks like it could leak just as many and you don't look anywhere near as threatening going forward. If we come out and attack you from the off and press the ball when we don't have it then I think we'll beat you, but if we sit off and invite pressure then I think we're asking for problems.
Agree. Defensively we are poor. You start as favourites. Our mental strength in big games gives us some hope though
Piskie Is Koscielny out for our game? If so then I expect a lot of goals both ways! (it'll be 1 all now I've mentioned that)
He is out for at 14 days with a deep cut on his knee. Will probably miss both the London derbies we have. We're not favourites going into this one based on our current form against the big sides this season and the fact that Wenger has not beaten a team managed by Mourinho. Chelsea win or a draw for me.
They are contesting the ban, probably just to delay its effect until after the Chelsea game. They won't even get an additional game ban added on because they aren't contesting the charge jus whinging that English internationals shouldn't receive the same length of punishment as other players. We're realing hoping you can take some points of Arsenal so that a win against Cardiff will put Liverpool top of the table on Christmas Day.
Not feeling confident about this Just hope we up our game against one of the big guns got to start taking the chance we create
