I also remember him sitting on Football focus at the start of last season saying:

Well guess what Robbie ? I just did.

Crap player, even worse as a pundit. Stick to come Dancing <ok>

He's normally very funny on 5Live as a commentator. Not sure as a pundit, but he tells some very funny stories.

Savage is an idiot, However we are loosing stature as a club.

We're still a big club just No longer one of Europe's 'elite'. (I guess we are back to where we were before the Wenger era started)

I don't think we're losing stature at all. I think the media Nancies like Savage would like to think that, but ultimately they are talking out of their backsides. Savage also thought that City were a bigger club than Liverpool, based on the fact that they have spent some rich Arab's money to buy the league.

Most of Europe sees us a feeder/selling club now. If you think we can sell our best players year upon year and it NOT have any effect on our status you are mistaken.

There's not many players who move to Arsenal thinking 'Ill go there to win the Premierleague and the Champions League'. These days players see us as a spring board to bigger and 'better' things. (or a last chance to experience Champions League football)

Here's a quote from Eduardo this week..

"It's a big mistake to sell them - they were the most important players last season," said Eduardo of Van Persie and Song.
"When you lose two players like that, your chance of finishing in the top four will be less. Every year it's similar - they lose players, buy players, make them class players and the next year they sell again."
    Read more at http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/166407.html?CMP=OTC-RSS#xXrq7Li9ShJGpiYf.99

I could post hundreds of comments like this from previous players... so why the backlash? Well beacuse its kind of sad to see a club like Arsenal operate in this way.

    We are being run to..

    1. Make a profit.
    2. Finish within the top four.

As much as I hate Ferguson and United I do admire the whole 'win at all costs' attitude. A year without a league title is seen as a bad one - Wenger/Gazidis could learn from that.

As my dad used to say, 'it's always those who have the least that talk the most'. <ok>

BBC have just let their standards drop year in year out with their football coverage. Savage,Lawrenson,Hansen,Shearer and Crooks. It's just moron after moron. They let their only decent pundit (Lee Dixon) leave and they are now left with these clowns. Sky with Neville have improved while BBC carry on with these idiots.

Good grief, reading those names is like reading a confederation of ****s. Funny how the better pundits who are not on the BBC seem to have achieved more in their career (in recent years of course).

While those two have achieved a lot in their time, Lawrenson is a terrible pundit and commentator. He is so out of touch. Hansen is the best from a terrible bunch (which isn't saying much) but even he's becoming even more nauseating these days. Although, he seems to be the only BBC pundit that speaks sense.

I have you boy's finishing 3rd behind the two Manchester teams. Wenger seems to be getting it right with big signings after going quiet for a few years.

Cazorla to be player of the season, I always thought he would have ended up at either Barca or Real, he is that good!

I would love to see his actual definition of a "big club "

Is it one who spends loads of money..........................or one who makes loads of money.

what a prize tw@t he is.

He already had to pay off some taxi driver coz one of his predictions failed.

That tells you how much he knows.

If Arsenal offered him a contract he would come running with his tongue hanging out.

    dope.
