    The absolute height of stupidity and blatant proof of the incredulous stobborness of Arsene Wenger. It clearly states in the rules that if you raise your hands to an opponent's face, you will receivee a red card and a 3 game ban. Here's hoping they'll get an extra game for frivellous appeal:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    It was made clear a while ago that hand to face contact was an automatic red no matter how heavy the contact was.

    They can't have any problem with that and are just throwing money away contesting the decision.

    The ban will get extended now because the FA will find the appeal frivolous like they did with the Sunderland player (Turner I think) a few years ago.

    It should be extended aye, but whether it will or not due to the fact its Arsenal who knows?

    The problem was with the Turner appeal, we didnt actually appeal the red card, we appealed the 3 match suspension he got for the red card, so they slapped another game on.

    But i dont have any idea why they would appeal this decision, it was a red simple as.

    When looked at in context afterwards I wouldn't give him a red but I can understand why it is. In reality it was nothing really but I suppose where do you draw the line. Seems a bit daft as there is no chance of it being rescinded. I wouldn't have banned Song either but once you get caught doing that, even if it doesn't really hurt, you're screwed. Bad day for Arsenal!

    If it was Wolves or someone similar appealing then no doubt the ban would be extended. But as Arsenal are a top 4 club (for the time being) they'll be let off. The FA are spineless.
