    Arsenal -

    4th

Got to the knockout stages of the Champions League

"Worst season in ages" "Wenger out!"

    Tottenham -

    3rd

    Out of the Europa League

"Best season in living memory for Tottenham fans" "Redknapp for England"

    Sums it up really.

Very true. But let Spurs have their moment in the sun for now. It's tough staying at the top year in and year out...

If we had exactly the same seasons(ie: qualify for thje champs league but ultimtaley just miss out on the major trophies) Redknapp would get praised and Wenger would get chastised.

Still its progress for them and we are the big boys and they are the minnows nobody cares about.

Let them have their year in the sun. Then in the summer when modric, bale, adebayoor and vdv leave they will be back to the bottom half <laugh>

Just disappointed there may be no St Totteringham's day this year. It had to be cancelled <ok>

You never know, if we can click into some sort of decent gear St Totteringham's day may come late this year. 10 points, 3 games, stranger things have happened.

Better late than never as they say. It is still actually possible (although unlikely) for both Chelsea and Arsenal to finish above the Spuds. We could get 4th, Chelsea 3rd and them 5th. Would be heartbreaking for them though. <laugh> Stranger things have happened, like you say.

From a neutral's POV, it has to be said that Spurs first 11 and squad is far far superior to Arsenal's at the moment. The current Arsenal team is quite shocking compared to the greats of not so long ago. If RVP is not banging them in for Arsenal, who else is there? Arsenal have some promising young players but need a spine of experienced quality players to be able to compete again. I've always been a fan of Wenger's style of play but his signings of late have been poor. Chamakh=useless. Mertesacker=useless. Gervinho=useless. Vela=useless. Denilson=useless.
Arsenal can do better than that surely? I hope Arsenal finish top 4 but I think you might just miss out this year.

I have to disagree with you about Gervinho and Mert. I think they are both quality players in their own right. It's the big German defender's first season in the English top flight, he needs to settle in. Look what happened with Koscielny. Gervinho is adept at beating his man and taking players out of the game, way better than Walcott in this respect and he has a good turn of pace. He only needs to work on his finishing. I think he too is still adapting. And Vela has never had first team opportunities, how can you expect him to develop?

  13. Agree.

Gervinho needs to work on his finishing - but he can do it as he has scored goals in his career. Its not as if he is struggling to create chances for himself, he is just missing.

Merts is a top player already and will be better next year.
