Out of that lot, i think our most impressive performance away from home was away to Fenerbahce. So today was impressive in the context of how we normally play away from home. And most of those game where with Fabregas and Nasri in the side. Yet we got beat so often. I think the 2nd half performance showed how we should have defended away from home. Keep it solid with the DM playing deep like he should and wait for the counter. Its sad that we did not do this when we had better players going forward but seeing as we have lost them, its vital that we shore up the defending. As seen today we can still hurt teams on the counter. And if we get Wilshere back then he is a player that can speed the play up in midfield. We lacked that tonight and that is why we did not get more chances. But that second half performance should be a blue print on how to defend away from home in Europe.

Udinese game has to really be in there also, 1-2 win away from home against the 4th placed team in Italian league has to be taken into account. I know it was a qualifier but it was still a massive result in Europe. I thought our second half defending was much better and fair play to all the guys for putting in 100% effort from every man. No wonder Arshavin was left on the bench, it was every man going flat out with no passengers.
