Those are damning stats, and add fuel to the argument that many pundits make that a place in the CL for Arsenal is a place wasted.

If there is an argument for a wildcard system it must be this: in the event that Arsenal qualify for the CL, their place is taken off them and given to the next team in the league table. This ought to last for 10 consecutive seasons, and stand as a punishment for crimes against English football.
