I've asked this before a couple of years ago and had no luck but what with new members etc....so does anyone have a copy of said historic game as shown on ESPN? I'm feeling a little nostalgic what with the Wembley thread and whatnot and would gladly pay for over and above the postage and DVD costs. Fingers crossed.
HAVE YOU LOOKED ON YOU TUBE FOR HIGHLIGHTS ? There is various footage there already. Citys club shop still have DVDs of the PL years.
The only videos on YouTube are awful quality. The two City goals are at 0:55 in this one, but it's not much.
Yeah but I've only seen MoTD highlights and I want the full game with reaction as shown live on ESPN. I was at the game and I still say it surpasses the play-off final win as our finest hour. We were pretty evenly fancied against Brizzle whereas versus The Arse we were 23-1 for a win, the highest ever Premier League odds as offered at the time. Cheers
dont have espn highlights, but you can buy them off tiger leisure for a fiver, ive got arsenal, anfield, and fulham at home.
I've got the ESPN one from the following year and the official club version of the better one. PM me if that's any help.
my claim to fame of that day,is during one of our substitutions, the camera zoomed into the city fans, and stright at me, chewing on my chewing gum looking rather serious, got about 20 texts telling me to cheer up as we where winning, and wondered what the hell was going on ,
I had the whole programme on my Sky Plus planner. Fell out with ESPN over being ripped off not realising when I cancelled the subscription the recording was encrypted!! Gutted I'd not backed it up on DVD. My boss was 4th official on the day and offered me two tickets with behind scenes access etc.. I let two colleagues have them as I'd already got two tickets. Amazing experience. I floated out of The Emirates in shock, straight into the pub. My son dragged me out about 10:30 worried we'd not get back to the car for the drive home.. Fantastic day
another good memory of that day, is i worked with an arsenal fan, but there was no usual pre match banter and wind ups.., he fully exepected to walk it 5-0, i expected them to walk it 5-0, he was gracious enough to say no matter what the score was, there would be no pisstaking etc... unfortuantely i wasnt quite as gracious myself, as the texts and calls where still been fired to his phone from some curry house in london about 3am
I've got the complete 2009 Arsenal game on a DVD .It was the "Setanta" presentation I think..I know it plays on my Computer (VSO version) and I think I converted it to play on the TV DVD player also ,but would need to dig it out and check. Ps Just checked it does play on a DVD to TV .As does the Newcastle away game and the Chelsea game where we lost 2-1 to the extra time Drogba lob over Myhill's head.My one disappointment was recording the Wembley win only to miss the last 5 minutes as the recording time ran out due to the lengthy stoppages for injuries.
Geo was a star! - and I love seeing Michael Turner's 'big kid' smile, as he runs away from his goal shots.... And...Marlon King might've been a crap specimen of humanity, but he sure knew where the goal was. Cousin, Ash, Campbell, ***an.....etc. Quite a side, eh?
Can't believe you've included ***an in that list. He's getting abuse for not being good enough for the 3rd worst team in the entire league.
