Wife-beater Derek Mitchell broke Suzie’s finger during a campaign of domestic abuse. But he called police, claiming she shoved a stiletto heel up his backside. Mitchell – who was convicted of battering his then wife after a scandalous three-week trial – emailed us photos of bloody Calvin Kleins and trousers in police evidence bags. Another shot showed him lying on stairs with his trousers baring his bum. But Suzie said: “This man cannot seem to recognise that the relationship is all over and he seems to be insisting on claiming his 15 minutes of fame.” A friend said: “Mitchell is lucky not to be in jail. Yesterday, he said he had photos and text messages to support his claims that he was also a victim. He said: “There is a lot more to this story than what has emerged so far.” A jury at Paisley Sheriff Court last December convicted Mitchell of three assaults between May and December 2011.
