Was being interviewed on Radio 5 last night and at the end he was asked what job he would liked to have done. Without hesitation he replied "Manage Liverpool". He then went on to say he found the atmosphere at Anfield "magic" and the Liverpool crowd to be the most knowlegable that he had come across - to be fair he also said that the same level of knowledge existed at Everton. Now I don't think that he would have made a good manager at our club bit I respect his feelings about both us and our club.
You can't commute from Sandbanks to Anfield mate 'Arry is brilliant at self promotion & keeping himself as a media darling, despite having a CV littered with blotches, that would have resulted in virtually every other manager on the planet being pilloried to the point of persecution. Got to admire him for it tbh.
I never agree with this sort of mindset. By linking him self to Liverpool fans, he is distancing him self from Man Utd fans. From the question he was asked, he could have said any club in the world. If he is trying to sell more books then it would have made more sense to say Man Utd as (and I'm going to get shot here) they have a bigger following around the globe.
He is a good club manager and I don't mind him personally. As have said he would have done miles better than Roy. He is self serving though isn't he old Harry!
