Gold & Sully aren't big fans of his, so I don't give it much legs.

They're not big fans of Big Sam either.

I think Toad Face has done a great job with the Hammers. In two seasons he's brought them from the Championship to mid-table Premier League, stopping off and winning a trophy at Wembley along the way.

It would be bad form to get rid of him in May IMO.

I think Di Canio is the long term target.

I wouldn't complain if he did come back tbh. G&S might give him the funds if he did, but he'd probably end up in an argument with them over transfer spending by season 3.

He joined us and said he wasn't going to spend any of the owners money in January and then went out and spent 20 million on two players!

Di Canio is a good prospect but he's a loose cannon. I'm not sure if there's many chairmen who'd take a gamble on him.

You never know what he's going to do next.

We all knew Arry wouldn't have joined if he didn't have any cash to spend.

Agree re Di Canio but he's done a great job at Swindon.

To be honest North, I don't think he even knew the depths to which we were in the sh*t when he joined. Hughes left us in an unbelievably terrible position and I don't mean the league table. I mead the squad. It was so unbalanced it was unreal. The players he brought in were useless and he had no fit strikers other than Cisse who was utterly sh*te.

Yeah I thought maybe he'd do somefink as well but I'm not sure anyone could have saved us with that lot

you're not dead yet, although it looks grim for you, I doubt you'll beat Man U, but quite possible that you could win the next 3 or 4 games you have.

I suppose anything is possible Alf but unfortunately it would be the biggest turnaround in PL history given the lacklustre displays of this team all season. We've won 2 games all season and we've now got to win six of our last twelve, IE half, and even then it mightn't be enough. I think we're doomed.

How are you boys feeling about the season right now? Reckon you could finish in the top half? I watched the Villa game and you were under par but generally I thought you've looked pretty good this year.

Will Sully and Gold hold onto Toad-face?

  17. Really surprised that you guys are serious about welcoming back Redknapp. Sure, he did okay for us, but I said, at the time of his appointment, that any manager could have done his job for us. It wasn't Redknapp who "saved" us, as we were never likely to get relegated, anyway. It wasn't Redknapp who took us to 4th, since the squad was always going to do it (as AVB is proving). I actually was one of many Spurs fans, at the time, who was against the appointment of Redknapp, as I saw him as nothing more than a classless spiv, who had left behind him a litany of failure and relegated and bankrupt clubs.

He won't "save" QPR; he never was going to save them; he simply does not have the ability to save a relegation side (which QPR so evidently is). Big Fat Sam may not be the most sophisticated manager or tactician in football, but he knows what it takes to survive in the EPL. His hoof-ball brand of football may not produce the kind of entertainment that I (and a lot of others) would pay any kind of money to go and watch, but if you are the kind of supporter who would rather play lifeless, dull, hoofball football in order to survive in the EPL, then Big Sam is your man.

Yeah, you'd play better football under Redknapp, and neutrals like me would probably even watch some of your games on MOTD, but you'd never survive in the EPL. Not with the squad you have.

So, yeah, I'm a bit surprised that you're all so keen to get Redknapp back.
