....this morning interviewed from the training ground on 5 Live. Very consistent: - players have to take responsibility - target is 17th - 12 players in over the summer, doesn't expect more in the next window - very difficult job 'will be fantastic if we do it' - was seriously interested in Ukraine (even had his commuting arrangements worked out) but lure of the Prem too much My take - he would not have taken the job if he did not believe he has a good chance of success, which would mean £2.5m for 6 months work. He thinks we have the players to do it ( but I'm sure he will be allowed 2 new ones or at least loans, in January). But for insurance/self defence he will stress the difficulty of the job and the players responsibility at regular intervals - fair enough. Then Gary Richardson played him a tape of a similar interview when he took over at Spurs - and he said almost the same things re player responsibility and difficulty! Today he did add that he had Bale and Modric already there though....
