Harry Redknapp as good as scuppered any talk of Jermaine Defoe leaving Spurs in the window saying he doesn't sell his best players. He said he's looking to add to his squad so I think our chances of landing Defoe are nil. Or as 'others' might say it's a done deal!
Scuppered? If anything I think it's more likely to happen. He says that he wants Defoe to stay, but then goes on about wanting players to keep the squad strong, but that he understands that players won't be happy as they'll only be there to strengthen the squad. And this comes after Defoe said last week that he wanted to stay, but only if he's getting first team games. So what arry and Defoe want are two different things. Of course tottenham want him to stay, but Defoe will be forced to move if he isn't getting picked. All depends on whether he keeps getting goals as he is and whether he starts any games between now and January.
