It really does make it look like a four-horse race: us, Sheff, Burnley & Watford (and maybe West Brom if they finally ditch Bruce?).
I think both Boro and WBA are already out of the automatic promotion hunt. Boro and WBA are currently 14 points off the auto spots with 35 games to play. They'd have to outscore ourselves and Sheffield United by 0.4 ppg to catch us. 2 points per game for the rest of the season puts them on 80 points, which has generally been good enough for 4th or 5th. And that's assuming an immediate turnaround in fortunes starting today. Of course if they do turn it around and put together the run of form needed to make the playoffs, they're likely to be bang in form come May and dangerous opposition - but hopefully we don't need to worry about that.
Good to see that Tomkinson has signed a new contract. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/norwich-city-confirm-fresh-agreement-reached-with-defender/ Not such good news for Tzolis though: https://insidefutbol.com/2022/10/12...-out-injured-until-after-winter-break/581676/
Yes, I read that but I can't see him leaving unless they offer really silly money. Núñez was back to his best yesterday.
Yet another rumour concerning Aarons. Man Utd interested with £15m being touted. So that’s Aarons, Rachica and Nunez now being on the rumour mill. I can see Rachica going if the money is near £8m, but not Nunez unless there is an offer too good to miss out on. Aarons rumour is now in its 9th window. IF it materialised then the money could be well spent.
I actually think I would let Aarons go this time, he has remained loyal for the past 4 years and deserves his chance at a bigger club. Since Mourinho supposedly didn't want him due to his height he has been targeted with high balls much more by opposition teams
I don't see the club playing hard ball if a reasonable bid comes in for Max. But there's absolutely no way he'll be on Man U's shopping list.
Afraid to say that Aarons is one that showed plenty of promise and developed early on, but seems to have regressed in the past few years especially positionally, and nowadays (for whichever reason) seems scared to cross the ball and rather plays backward & square. I can't however knock him for loyalty or dedication. As Robbie posted I can't really see Utd signing him, or any English team at Europa League level (or higher). I'd suggest perhaps somewhere such as Palace/Brighton or if one of last years promoted teams need players through the door would be appropriate.
It appears the club are exploring a relationship with Spanish Second division side - Las Palmas. https://www.pinkun.com/news/23111105.norwich-city-las-palmas-carrow-road-fact-finding-mission/ Las Palmas is the capital of Gran Canaria
I wonder if this is driven in part by our relationship with Coritiba and, more generally, the shift in our recruitment focus to the Americas. South American players seeking to move to Europe usually do so to Southern European clubs first; Sara and Núñez signing for us is the exception rather than the rule (compare Emi's route to Carrow Road and Villa Park). A South America--Spain--EFL--EPL pathway could be productive for us and them.

Kenny rumours quashed. Personally don't have a problem with this, but if we ever end up with Kenny being in our first choice midfield in the Prem again, we'll know recruitment has failed.
McLean's chief asset is his consistency. While Gilmour and Lees-Melou blew hot and cold all season and Normann was injured much of the time, Kenny carried on progressing the ball forward, defending when the ball was lost and covering at LB when the FB was caught upfield. Nothing spectacular, but consistent throughout. His small successes stood tall against the failures of others. Hopefully Sara, Hayden and Núñez will prove to be the players we hoped they would be when play resumes, but Kenny will be there if they don't.
