I'm planning quite a big trip and looking for inspiration on where to go and what to do.

What's the place you've been to which you liked the most? Whether it's a country a city or something more specific? Where has been amazing and you've felt it was the experience of a lifetime?

And if you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? What have you always wanted to do? Go inside the pyramids, whale watch, trek through the Amazon etc?

I'd like to go in a shark cage and see a great white, i'd also like a traditional tattoo done by a maori, the old way.

Shark cage would be pretty amazing I imagine. I did see a video where one got into the cage though... it'd have to be a cage with small gaps <laugh>
I'll have to look into that <ok>

Not got any plans to get a tattoo! Getting one while on a trip and done the traditional way would add extra meaning to it I suppose.

I wouldn't go in a shark cage mate. It'll be a ****er getting it through the x-ray machines at the airport.

Best hire one when you get there.

Done that and I'll be doing it again in two weeks. It's amazing to be honest mate, you get to hold onto its fins and it takes you for a swim, then at the end you paddle water and it comes from under you and lifts you into the air. Go for it if you ever get the chance.

  15. Blue Mountains outside Sydney were brilliant. And watching fairy penguins walking out of the ocean off Philip Island was pretty cool. For cities I loved Melbourne - has a really good atmosphere.

I've been to both, I've been to most European countries so I'm skipping it out of this trip.

Where do you mean by east? How Far East?

Blue Mountains are lovely, stayed in a lodge with wild kangaroos always wandering around outside. Will probably go again as part of this trip as I'll be in Sydney for a while.

    Where abouts is Philip Island?
