It seems we could have a potential gem on our hands, especially for the fee we have paid for him the following is from sky sports football scout thing, and the report comes from 2009. http://www.skysports.com/football/transfers/scout/0,24035,15198_5134131,00.html
I'll take it with a pinch of salt. If he's worth that he'd have been snapped up by a bottom end Prem side. Also concerned about his tackling of this is right. I thought we wanted him as the defensive mid alongside Whitts not the attacking option the write up suggests. I suppose it is 2 years old. I hope it is right though. We seem to have a lot of the raw materials, just need to fit it all together now. I'm sure MM has the blueprint.
I agree Swamp. He may simply have slipped under the radar. I think once he gets fit, he may be a real force for us.
hey Swamp I think when Gunnarson first went to Coventry they were all very impressed with him but in the last season there appear to have been a few grumbles about his effort and application.... However, I think in our side, with everyone giving their all it will ensure we don't see a repeat of that behaviour and even if we did I can't imagine Malky would leave him in the starting 11 for very long!
I think the jury is out on Gunnarson, i would rather see Kiss in the side as he did look a good prospect in pre season.
Can only comment on what I've seen, I like the look of the Gunnar so far, and he was always a pain the the rear for Cov aganist us. Haven't seen Kiss yet, other than warming up at Pompey, so unable to comment at thus stage.
I think Gunn-show is going to be a solid if not one of the finds of Malky's recruitment drive this summer. I was extremely enthusiastic about capturing his signature in pre-season and I've been slightly disappointed by his inury against Bris-lol ****ty. I also think he could have been very important against Brighton, Burnley and Portsmouth (taking nothing away from Darcy against Porstmouth, he had a great game). Everybody is looking forward to seeing Kiss as well as am I, but I feel Gunnarsson is the man to watch as he knows this division, also - and I know they were crap against West Ham - his Long Throws are something i'm a massive fan of, having this in your armoury adds a new dimension to the game and if we were to send the likes of Turner-nator up for a long throw, it could cause chaos! The Gunn-show will be immense especially with Cowie and Conway's work rate i'm sure of it!
Kiss is special if his performance against Yeovil in the pre season friendly is anything to go by. However, Kiss and Gunnarson will be fighting for the same position so its anyone's guess who will feature most often. I can't see Darcy Blake getting a look in despite his solid defensive performance against England.
