The local press down here in Coventry reporting That Adam Armstrong is signing on for a season loan at Coventry in League 1.
This has got to be better than getting 5 mins here and there with us and should give him valuable experience. Hope he does really well.

Saw this and it suggests we may be making a bit more room in the striking department.
I can honestly see us keeping Cisse. Riviere I think we are stuck with.. so maybe Arma is the one to budge?
A season with Coventry could be a good move for the lad.

Adam Armstrong will leave Newcastle United and join Coventry City on a season-long loan deal, according to The Coventry Telegraph.
The British newspaper claims that paperwork should be completed in time for the 18-year-old forward to make his debut for the League One outfit tonight.
Coventry will take on Cambridge United in a pre-season friendly tonight, and The Coventry Telegraph claims that Armstrong will feature in it.
The Northern Echo[/a] has reported that Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren is not in a rush to sign Charlie Austin from Queens Park Rangers.
According to the report, the former Nottingham Forest and Derby County manager wants to see how new signings Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba get on with the rest of the squad before making more signings.
Meanwhile, The Mirror claims that Newcastle will increase their offer for English forward Austin if they get assurances over his shoulder and knee problems.
It has been reported that the Magpies are confident that if they raise their offer to £13.25 million, then they will be able to get their man even though Rangers are holding out for £15m.

This is great news to be fair. If he performs well then we know he could be a player, if he can't perform at League 1 level then we know he probably won't make it.

 

Looking forward to this, he's a good young player who needs games, games at a better level than the usual gateshead loan.

 

Yeah it is! Will be good to see how he develops this season, and a good excuse to stay up Saturday nights and watch the FL show after MOTD!

 

Young Freddie Woodman has now been loaned to Crawley Town until January 16. Should be good experience for him and ultimately us.
