CRUNCH TIME IS HERE> Brendan Guilfoyle wants the staff and players to accept another deferral of SEVEN DAYS. The answer seems to be NO. Who will blink first. Would Guilfoyle actually liquidate PAFC because of his greed of money ......and not accept that he has cocked it up for 4/5 months.....and expect James Brent to pay for his poor workmanship........and then he would get what.......NOTHING.
I have just had a look on PASOTI to see what exactly the parties have said or not said. So, here we go again in a "mexijan" standoff like High Noon. There are entries on PASOTI that in my view are not helpful. Giving out the mobile telephone numbers of the Administrator and email addresses then asking people not to be abusive but ring up is like asking a child to leave the chocolate alone in a sweet shop when spending the night there. What possible benefit can there be from doing this at this stage. I think that Brent is big enough to look after himself and does not need a load of moronic idiots shouting there mouths off at these people even if they might deserve it. Why give them an excuse to walk away.
Yes sensible.......it wouldn't be helpful at the moment..........they do seem to have their share of prattheads over on that site...........hope they stay there.
Who is this IJN bloke? He seems to think he is a cross between Braveheart William Wallace and Rambo with his rhetoric. "Whose up for going to Sheffield". What for? I do not like that kind of inference irrespective of the cause. Yes by all means stand up and be counted to back your cause but not the kind of action he is hinting at. I have been on marches before now against something I abhore but I would walk away if it got out of hand and could play no part in something like that. Idiots have a tendancy to take over sadly.
It's the veiled threats that I don't like and find little need for. Brent is a hard nosed business man who no doubt has had more than one Boardroom scrap in his time. What is the point in sending his opposition emails or texts or making calls that are going to attempt intimidation. It only takes one idiot to overstep the mark, and they are out there sadly, and all the moral high ground you have evaporates in the blink of an eye. I cannot stand people who suggest they are speaking on my behalf or everyone else's without even asking them for an opinion first. That includes our esteemed politicians who speak on behalf of the British people. Bullshit they are.
This is Gat here reporting from Sheffield in Jannerland lol ...... this senario was brought up days ago and to liquadate us the administrators have to apply to the high court and it was felt that if they did this then they would do theirselves untold damage and their reputation would be ruined. The administrators want them to sign a defferal as they become liable for the player and staff wages from tomorrow, I personally think thats the least they could do after the way they have handled our administration. It is my opinion that they will go as a company should they try and play the "we will liquidate you" card. We could always send the fat lady up to Sheffield if they become too unreasonable.
James Brent on Radio Devon (Plymouth Breakfast Show) 0600 repeated at 0750 with Sparksy.....Friday 28th.
THIS IS DEVON have reported on the PLYMOUTH HERALD article about the latest take-over wrangle.......... In the article they quote Brendan Guilfoyle as saying the following......."It's always been my aim to rescue the club, but the LEVEL OF PAIN (my capitals) we're being asked to take seems to us to be disproportionate". Is that not a sick joke against the staff and players and those made redundant........have they not suffered PAIN as well. A further seven day referral is a way of P&A partnership avoiding paying the wages of all concerned this Friday, they say they need that extra time to complete outstanding items in the take-over agreement. James Brent in his Sparksy interview this morning said that if during any further deferral time P&A tried to raise more funds, by selling off players then Akkeron's offer would be reduced by the same amount accordingly. Guilfoyle has made such a loss by backing the wrong horse (Heaney) that he is desperate to claw back money from anywhere he can. The administration of PAFC should be taken away from the P&A Partnership by the powers that be, and another Administrator engaged to bring this mess to an inclusion.
Does anyone know what the outstanding items are? If it's the League, perhaps they should consider an early return from their summer holidays and get this sorted before they pack up for Christmas on Nov 11. If it's the PFA, perhaps they could take time out from standing up for poor victimised Carlos Tevez and make it clear to any recalcitrant ex Argyle players that they should sign the settlement offer now to protect 20 odd other professionals' jobs in the future. If it's Brent & Guilfoyle, that's just arm-wrestling and let no one forget that Brent can back down to make things happen just as easily as Guilfoyle.
Two players outstanding........so said James Brent to Sparksy on radio this morning........and he expects those to be cleared this morning. One seems to be translation into own language..............thought to be Timor..............I expect the other might be the player in prison or one of the players who now play north of the border. Guilfoyle's claim that his aim "is to rescue the club" rings a little hollow with this seven day referral request...........thats to make sure P&A don't have to pick-up the wages tab for October...........but his "level of pain" quote really is an insult to all the people that have for ten months really known what pain is all about..........it can only achieve a "red mist" situation of rage amongst those that have gone the extra mile for PAFC. Guilfoyle is just an embarressment to his profession and should be removed and P&A as well.
If you think about it for just a minute Plymborn, you'll realise an administrator cannot possibly take responsibility for a failing company's costs. If it did that, it would make itself responsible for losses which could be thousands of times its fee income and which would be completely at the risk of capricious bidders. Since EVERY business it's involved in is already on it's beam ends, disaster would be absolutely certain. Whatever the solution, that's not it. Can I also remind you BIL were suppose to have agreed to fund the club during deal completion. Whether they actually did what they were supposed to is arguable but are we not seeing that Brent certainly ISN'T risking any money that way even when the deal is supposedly hours away? I don't intend to be continually having a go at Brent and standing up for BIL but people do seem to very very selective in who they criticise and who they don't. What I have said is that all the bidders are much of a muchness despite their relative PR efforts and similar things should be expected from all of them.
Agree with the PASOTI having just checked the site, their actions may muddy the waters further.Agree Brent is savvy enough to look after himself -no doubt, but a standoff at this point, with the club staring increasing the possibility of losing league status in the face,is not what we need.Whatever happens with the outcome-there should be an investigation into the actions of P&A partnership by the relevant authority after the buy out.Bollocks to Guilfoyle and his bunch of sharks. In Brent we trust.
The question I ask is can anyone prove that BIL ever existed.......it was only ever Heaney,Heaney,Heaney.......it only ever seemed to be Heaney trying to get the funds together.......where was this so called Dublin millionaire.........wasn't Guilfoyle suspicious of the situation.......why was he so sold on Del-Boy Heaney...........even Truro City were financially wobbly at the same time...........surely alarm bells were ringing there ? No one but Guilfoyle and P&A should be paying for their errors......five months of backing the wrong horse......that everyone else realized but the so called expert..........surely Guilfoyles reputation has been shot to smithereens and he should accept that and cut his losses......leaving PAFC to salvage some dignity and move on.
There you go again Plymborn! Of course nobody out here can prove they existed any more than you can prove they didn't. The one thing we DO know for certain is that Guilfoyle, an experienced administrator and Ridsdale an experienced something or other must have been convinced at the relevant time that the BIL deal would complete, so there must have been some credibility in it at some point. Events may have proved them wrong, but they were a damn sight closer to the facts than anyone here or on Pasoti and it's very very hard to see why they'd have deliberately backed a plan which they thought or knew would fail. That makes no sense at all.
