Argyle 0-1 PNE.........PASOTI & ATD are both rather scathing about the match........Chadwick missed a penalty..........so against league opposition we have lost all three and have lost 0-11 on goals. The teams fitness level must of course be super-duper by now.......shame about the football. Wotton kept on the bench for a long time........is Fletcher trying to tell him who is in charge of the team ? Brent has told Fletcher his job is safe whatever happens.......I'm now rather depressed......I'll just go to bed and hope none of this has happened in the morning........0-11 in three proper matches it can't be true.
Why wasn't Wotton the defensive mid-field from the start.....their goal was straight through the middle I believe. Why does Fletcher keep playing Nelson at right back......wasn't the consensus that that is not his strongest position. I feel that things are not anymore settled than when we got tonked at Yeovil.........I also think there is trouble between Fletcher and Wotton.....especially since he was bypassed for the captains arm band.
Well, he doesn't have a fit right back does he, with Berry and Lowry both on the treatment table? As before, Fletcher said he would use the pre-season to give everyone game-time. We may not agree with that approach but it was clearly stated and therefore you can't read much into the various selections.
I think you are reading too much into all of this plym. As notdistant has said he is having to play somebody out of position at RB at the minute and I doubt even Fletcher thinks Nelson is right there. It is also true that he has said everyone gets to play so again team selection is varied and he hasn't been looking for his strongest side. To be fair if he doesn't already know that then there is something wrong. Not sure about the Wotton thing either but who knows. Wotton has been a dressingroom leader before and is an old boy at Argyle. Perhaps Fletcher is making a point and to be honest so he should if it's needed. I haven't seen any of these games and like the rest of you can only rely on others feedback. It doesn't sound promising especially if some on pasoti are sounding miffed. I expect it from ATD. I picked up my season ticket today so too late to change my mind now. All the build up to the package being offered turned out to be quite a damp squib when I got it. They could have packed it in an envelope quite easily but instead went for what looked like a ginster wrapper. Not much content when opened either but hey ho, I signed up for the football not the packaging on my ticket.
