Plymouth Argyle FCVerified account@Only1Argyle 3m3 minutes ago More First quarter of first Home Park outing since May, and an entertaining game is nevertheless goal-less. Mayor has had a big @homeparkstadium crowd purring at times.
Good crowd in the part of the Lyndhurst that is open.... please log in to view this image Not so many at the away end........... please log in to view this image

Plymouth Argyle FCVerified account@Only1Argyle 41s41 seconds ago More A hot afternoon, and referee Brett Huxtable allows a drinks break about ten minutes before the interval. Plenty of effort from a fluid and inventive #pafc, but still waiting for a goal from their endeavours.
There is commentary on the BBC. It's here, on the BBC Sport website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/49066860 The good news is that you can get that Plym and Away (I presume) but you'll need a BEEB log-on. The bad news is that is ISN'T on Radio Devon. I don't mind new technology but I can't listen to a bloody computer while I'm in the car or the kitchen or in the garden. Is that just today or is that a permanent change following the new BBC graphics etc? If local radio doesn't cover local sport, does that undermine it's position in general? PS what's worse, I would pick this weekend to have left my mobile phone in the car which my other half has taken up to Somerset..............
I'm listening to Radio Devon. A few unforced errors creeping in.....Wootton and Canavan....but no score after 60 mins.
0-1...F/T.....once Danny Mayor was substituted there was definitely a lack of creativity for Argyle......plus a lack of any recognized strikers up front with Taylor and Telford not fit enough to be involved.. Trialist Ben Hall was obviously nervous and made mistakes. But a good workout and hopefully no injuries occurred.
Problems still happening with central defenders....maybe Aimson when fit will help...but we are definitely lacking one reliable defender to work with him....is that why the trialist Ben Hall has been given a try ?.....Wootton and even Canavan made mistakes today.
What we have got is the same bunch of yobs in the Lyndhurst complaining about the stewarding again. The theme is they aren't now being allowed to sing etc, which I find highly unlikely. Inspecting their Twitter profiles shows the usual pattern (you aren't going to like this Plym, it's true but I would look away): hardcore Brexit support, currently bigging up Boris "The Clown" Johnson, Tommy Robinson, racial bigotry, anti feminism, homophobia and as standard, accusing anyone who disagrees with them as being a paedophile. I gather there's been a minor scuffle between one of them and Argyle fans at the end of the game. Would have been over to your left Sensible, did you see anything?
Sounds like fringe hanger-ons trying to grab some of the glory notDistant....Robinson and his louts looking for a new home....they could join Boris in the Tory Party.....has long as they speak proppper Rees-Mogg English.....I assumed Boris has smuggled his girl friend in up the back stairs by now via the back entrance.
Firstly the scuffle over to the left. All I could see was a group standing up and singing stuff at others who were obviously objecting. It looked like the objection was to them standing but to be honest I couldn't fathom much out and watch the game at the same time. I turned to watching the game. Stewards appeared to be doing nothing at all. However for all I know they could have clubbed the offenders half to death and dragged them out as I didn't see any climax to it. The game itself. Bit difficult to summarise it if I' honest. There were some half decent performances from Argyle and some that were pants throughout. Impressed with our No. 10 which was Mayor and he will no doubt be a favourite with his dribbling skills and effort. Very Carey like. I was also impressed with the No. 8, 17 and 7. Also worth a mention in dispatches is Canavan. Thought he looked very good throughout. His passing was pretty decent. There were several other solid performances without them standing out. Keeper was solid enough. That is both of them when they switched over. Passing was pretty good even if it got us nowhere most of the time. The one that stood out for me was Wootton. He was terrible virtually throughout. I cannot see him being in the side if there is any alternative. The other negative was the wing backs. That is both of them. They got down the line but the crossing was so poor it was not worthy of the name. Riley was awful and might as well not got any cross in all afternoon. Mostly he hit the player who was tracking him and it of course all came to nothing. It was a friendly. It was very hot. Think on this showing they will do ok but not sure if that is just ok or an excellent ok with benefits.
