I assume that at least two or three of you went yesterday to the game......maybe disappointment has kept you from posting your views as yet. With Bristol R scoring three and Northampton scoring one, Argyle find themselves bottom of the goals scored column again with only fourteen league goals. Yet... yesterday we had nineteen attempts on goal....not being there for all I know some of those efforts might of been nearer the corner post than the goal, three were deemed on target.......Burton's figures were nowhere near that....yet they take one of their chances and win the match. In yesterday's prediction league I said that we cannot keep depending on Reid to score for us....and it ended up so......my only correct result unfortunately. With our defence performing well for this division....yet giving one away in each of our last two outings....we find that we only plunder one point from a possible six, we mustn't depend on them to save us every week. Somehow we have to change this around...is it our strikers.....or is it our mid-field......or is it a combination of both, or tactics ? Maybe Hourihane....everyones favourite (not mine) has played far too much football...never missing a game as yet this season.....comments about him looking jaded and below form yesterday....does he need a rest ? Players playing below form at times doesn't credit the ability of the away players from stopping them from being affective....that happens too often with quite a few of our so called stars. Will we rise to the occasion against Conference opposition next week....we might only draw... if we cannot find how to score against a lower league side.
