Seen this movie a while ago and thought it as pretty good. I was unaware of the hype around it though which meant I wasn't expecting too much from it.
the mrs suggested we watch a movie last night it was a toss up between argo and taken 2, she opted for the latter. no matter how bad argo is it cannot compete with the ****ness of taken 2. i reckon a telegraph pole would be a better actor than liam neeson.
Not seen Argo myself but there was a bloke beeling that it portrayed the British and New Zealanders as utter ****s for turning away the Yank escapees saying that they ended up with the Canadians because nobody else cared. Point of fact was when they got back to America the embassy staff were highly appreciative of the efforts made by a number of embassies and that the British had to move them as it would be likely the first place the Yanks would be looked for. When challenged Affleck more or less said he knew all that but chose to ignore it for cinematic reasons. He'll be making films with Mel Gibson next.
Thank **** the Yanks did that daring submarine raid to get a German Enigma machine. Saved countless lives in WWII so they did.
