I'm starting to really struggle with boredom, now. I didn't think it would happen this quickly. Anyway, are you health conscious and do you have any little quirks or ideas that you could share on here? I no longer buy meat from the supermarket because of the **** that gets injected into it. I've now got a trusted butcher in the next village along who gets all his meats from the fields around us. He has assured me if he sees cancer in the meat it doesn't get cut out. He bins the lot and is refunded from the farmer. I still don't eat a lot these days, mind. I never ever drink water straight from the tap. I have a water purifier which I put it through and that takes the majority of the nasty chemicals from it. The same goes for Skye (dog), if something isn't good enough for me then it's not good enough for her neither. I never eat chocolate or sweets and rarely do I eat a pudding. I always try to make sure that I eat 5 or 6 fruits, each day. I don't drink alcohol or smoke tobacco or cannabis. I walk a good few miles through the countryside every day with Skye and that's my fitness, at the moment. I've been told that towards the end of the year, I'll be able to pick my fitness up and get back into training properly. Anything you do to try and stay healthy?
Thought of another one, I eat a nutty granola most mornings...I mix it with Choco Shreddies though, is that ok?
Oh another one, I eat a multivitamin every day but couldn't be arsed to fork out the money so I buy the strawberry flavour chewy multivitamins for kids from Lidl for 59p. I just have 2 to make up for them being kids sweets.
It is Luvvy. I especially like the post about giving your young-uns vitamin supplements My lass only drinks hemp milk but I can't stomach the stuff. Honey is a decent replacement for sugar in hot drinks.
I only have 1 cup of tea or coffee per day and just drink water for the rest of the day. I'm starting to think I'm quite a healthy person.
You do sound it. I thought I was uber healthy but I should really drink more water and less coffee. I have about 5 or 6 coffee's each day.
please log in to view this image This is a really basic water filter but it does the job. £7 from Wilkos. Everybody should have one.
It gives me gout if I drink a lot of tea or coffee and that's also the reason I drink a lot of water. I'm not really that healthy but I think I strike a fair balance. I probably drink a bit too much alcohol but I really like drinking so **** it. I cook the majority of my food from scratch so don't use ready meals.
A couple of teas / coffees are fine, in facts it’s good for the liver, especially if you’ve got any liver issues. More than that and it can be harmful to the kidneys apparently.
Bacteria, pesticides, chlorine and lead. Research is showing that all these levels are on the rise, too.
Which is why I need to cut down, mate. A couple of them coffee's will be in my big reusable Starbucks cup, which is the size of at least two normal size cuppas.
I'm quite happy to do things like that as it's very little effort and if there are even small health benefits then why not?
Grapefruit when you first wake up, used to hate them but they’re ok now. I shove a load of raw veg, such as broccoli, spinach, cucumber into a tub and eat that through the day, it’s about 4 portions of veg, it means I don’t have to spoil my dinner with stupid veg. I have one small bottle of Kefir from Waitrose each week as well, for gut health. I also eat live sauerkraut, from the chilled section for gut health, my turds are elite, plus it helps me digest a lot more nutrients instead of wasting them. I also swear by my Ninja blitzer and George Foreman grill.
