Members didn't seem interested in my Article of 26th July-

John Kiely- An Irish Trainer To Watch..

    Only two members responded.

I suggest you really sit up and take note of this trainer, and here's one or two extracts from that Article....

"He only has a relatively small stable, and has very often paid his way by winning Bumper Races and then ‘selling them on'.....

It is worth mentioning that ... Kiely also has two entries in The Galway Plate on Wednesday in the form of Head Of The Posse and Wise Old Owl......

Also, Kiely makes a habit of running them on the flat prior to hurdles or chases. Today’s loser on the flat, Oneeighthofamile, has won his last three hurdle races following spins on the flat. Worth watching next time! "

Although Head Of The Posse fell, Wise Old Owl was just touched off in the Galway Plate.

Blossom Smile bolted up in the Bumper on Sunday...

And Oneeighthofamile returned to hurdles and streaked home today against Won In The Dark and Valira.

That makes 2 winners and a second out of the only three races Kiely has contested since the Article... and 9 winners and 3 seconds from his last 16 runners.
This man really knows his business and that's a strike rate you can't ignore!
As a guide, if his horse has the form, then back it- he'll invariably have placed it to win.

High Tam. I remember reading it with interest and thought to myself "well spotted". The post has had 100 viewings so I'm sure it hasn't been ignored. I've just edited your heading so that anyone reading it can go back and read the original post, which became an article. Hopefully the article will have been read by a wider audience. <cheers>

Hi Tam, good spot and glad it has come off for you. Generally the regulars here tend to stick to the daily thread so if you were to highlight his runners on there that would be helpful and people would definately take notice and you might even get the odd dancing man illustration when they come in!!!

Agree Tam,I've been a JK fan for quite some time...very shrewd operator from a relatively small string who possesses a roughly 20% strike rate over the last five years from his NH runners.
