Does this forecoming xmas time pagger your coin? Do you go overboard and think wtf? Who has spoilt little bastard kids that want 1000 quid ****ing iphones etc?
...mine get a stocking above the fireplace containing a citrus fruit and an economy cracker ... and a Betamax video of Sunderland footballing highlights...these are valuable lessons in life, I feel
I always spoilt mine and they still expect now they're fully grown adults, the greedy sods This year I'm intending drawing a line in the sand.....
I do spoil my kids, not latest iPhone etc but I bought them their first car etc. Nothing expensive just a run around to learn to drive in, because I believe you learn after passing your test. But this isn't festival linked We don't celebrate Xmas but have eid where they get money, nothing great just say £50 for the older ones to to with as they please. All presents, phones, holidays etc are based on reward. So my eldest went to NY with college because of 11A* in GCSEs. Next one didn't do as well but got £350. Current one got great results so i owe him. He got a new phone though as his old one was a bit battered Etc
I'm not being funny here, but how do you lot (you lot, sounds so wrong sorry) get around the the tedious overhyped bollocks of our xmas?
I know what you mean Tbh and I mean this in the nicest possible way, when did your lot ( see what I did there) start making such a ****ing fuss about everything? Was never like this even a few years ago. Our lot are doing the same with our festivals etc. ****ing eid cards??? Its not Xmas ****ers its eid Not that I want go get political on this thread but even the poppy hype, we were discussing this (me n a few mates from different backgrounds inc an ex squaddie) and circa 2003 it was a nice reserved, humble event crowned of by the 11/11 ceremonies. Its a circus now IMO And the whole winter festival ffs instead of Xmas. I can tell you for a fact it was a room full of white people decided that. I Argued against it and was labelled a fundamentalist by one idiot. I hate all festivals now and the week of Xmas refuse to go out even for milk at asda. Last few days of ramadhan, before eid do the same. Its mental out there
**** off with that ****e. The whole lot off these are utter bolocks..Spend ya money ya ****s, make the fat dogs fatter. Kids need their Nikes and Samsung S8plus or they will die.
I kid you not mate I was in the room when it was also suggested, one suggestion was we can't call bin bags "black bin bags" anymore Oh and brainstorm was banned that day too as it may offend those with epilepsy. Have a family member with epilepsy and he laughed Birmingham them went with wintervell or something Best was they had bought in media to take pics etc of the meeting and had called in some gay folk for input. Pics appeared in local rag and some of the gay lads hadn't come out to family so some serious **** went down
Bonkers.. Anyhow. How do you lot cope with with this xmas bolocks? Its started already and im ****ing sick off it. Commercial ****e.
When I wasn't working for myself I just worked Xmas eve etc so those celebrating could have time off. Now I work for myself I don't notice it as much The only annoying thing is the songs in shops.
Started getting post in august and songs in October locally. Apparently its all to get us spending more. They employ psychologists etc to cone IP with these things, pay them a fortune too. This is why MacDonald's are painted a certain way and why supermarkets keep milk at the back Must work even if it is, like u say, bonkers because it gets earlier every year
Have you much family and that around you? When I was away from family and before I got married and that festivals and that were just bollox and that. Now with kids it's not so bad tbh and I look forward to it. My youngest is already asking about eid because of Xmas and its miles away yet
Thats part off my humbug. To many family and xmas ****e. I like doing my own ****e. I'm not big on family stuff. Already got some tuff for the little bairn in thailand. Trying to find summer gear here in winter was a chore.
