    After a couple (well quite a few) beers on Saturday after a long "discussion" with my mate who is a mad Leeds fan who would finish above the other we shook hands on a £50 bet. Now I'm looking for reassurance that this was not drunken stupidity!!

    Anyone else got any wagers on Saints this year??

    Wouldn't like to say where we will finish, but fairly sure we will be above Leeds and completely sure we will finish above Pompey.

    Golden rule of football betting - never put money on your own team......

    I've placed doubles with Saints and Brighton every match so far and won a small fortune.

    I have a bet with two Bristol City fans that we will finish above them and I've placed over a ton at 22-1 on Saints to be promoted (placed in June).

    I have been very lucky with Saints so far but never ever bet on England, be it u19, u20, u21, full team or anything other associated with England! They will only let you down!
