Interesting to see we are the team that puts bums on seats at away stadiums now , even the worzels have made the trip over now with more thn two taxi`s ordered.... Seems we are the big attraction in the Championship with everyone out for our scalp but too many cowboys in their sides for that ;O) How many Championship sides can boast the home and away support we have ? The Prem "NEEDS" Cardiff City and we need the Prem , the biggest club in Wales will take their place at last ...........;O) JH
I don't think the away fans will see our 'Prem' team on Saturday . We have two tough games next week so I think Malky will rest the stars and put the 'Cup' side out for the Wurzels
The reason we sold out is because we don't have to go to a service station to pick up our tickets and its not a bubble game. You've been in worse positions and weve been in better and not took as many. We can now take the train straight to you with our tickets in pockets. We will also leave with 3 points
I agree with all of this except the last bit...that's just the carrot juice talking Bubble trips are a pain in the arse and just an excuse for the OB to flex their over-padded muscles
No the Prem doesn't need you , it's got perfectly great teams like Wigan Athletic for example Did I bite or reply
Well says it all about you lot if you think Wigwam is a great team ........... well on second thoughts looking at you lot you could be correct
The premiership is losing it's soul, and sums up everything wrong with modern day football.. You'd fit right in then
The npower league 2 needs a derby to sum up everything that's wrong with Brizzle. You'd fit right in then.
Back to the original question - yes because you are top and everyone always wants to beat the leaders. This will make your run-in more difficult - however every team in the league would swap places with you. No, I don't think the Premiership needs any team (apart from about 3 or 4)
Very much agree with that sentiment except Im not sure it needs any of them. If we were talking a various points in the last 30 years you could have said the top division 'needed' Forrest, Leeds (self proclaimed biggest club in the history of the world), or that Liverpool would never be overturned. Of the top 6 or 7 only Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal really have any sort of real legacy of being one of The leagues top clubs. Maybe Everton would argue but you need to consistently win things not just be in the league. Chelsea and Man city are new 'Giants' and they could disappear and no one outside of those clubs would care. The PL was fine before their oil billions and there are any number of clubs that could be just as 'big' given a few years of CL money. To coin your phrase, back to the original question. Does it imply teams didn't want to beat us earlier in the season because every match I've sat and watched the opposition certainly looked like they were trying to me! I actual think the opposite to the run in being more difficult could be true also. As we build our reputation of narrow victories there becomes more of an air of inevitability that when we score we'll win. I've watched us in previous seasons and everyone on the pitch and in the stands knew that if the opposition had a real go in the last 10 minutes we'd cough up goals. Teams know we can close the game out this season and that could very easily have a demoralising effect which should counter any 'let's have a real go and beat the leaders' type mentality they may bring into the game.
John boy I see your still as delusional as ever! Have you won the Championship already then? .................. There's still time for you to bottle it!................. please log in to view this image
