Are we the reason arsenal have been in this massive downward spiral in 2011?

They weren't playing bad until they conceded 4 goals after been up 4,they were second in the league and only 2 points behind Man ure and they looked like title contenders, I think personally we are the team that is responsible for Arsenal been in the position they are now in! Any thoughts ?

maybe, but i guess selling your 2 best players and signing a donkey CB has more to do with it

Well. Since THAT game they have not picked up half as many points and the impact of the result must have been huge on:

    1) The players frame of mind.
    2) Opposing teams realising that attacking the Arsenal is an option to pick up points and.
    3) The fans started questioning AW and thus the players.

    Good point!

I'd say not replacing key players with suitable replacements and panic buying on the last day didn't help much either.

We aren't the reason, but we may have triggered the drop in confidence and the downward spiral.

<ok> I'd go with that too. That game showed there were massive weaknesses in their defence.

    Sagna
    Squillaci
    Mertesacker
    Gibbs
    Jenkinson
    Koscielny
    Djourou
    Santos
    Vermaelen

There's some quality in that defence, but the weak links are really ****ing weak!

Maybes, but i think it's a mixture of things, they could really be in the **** if they don't get Champions League football.

We beat Barca after the 4-4, so no, not really.

And we won't be in the ****s if we don't make top four.

5 wins in the last 6 games. Top of our CL group. In the 4th round of the CC. Not bad for a team that is in crisis and so on.

Both the 4-4 last season and the 0-0 this season go hand in hand, in my opinion. Gervinho was on fire in pre-season but was sent off and banned until their 5th game off the season. Teams take a few games to gel and build confidence together, they haven't been able to do this because of Gervinho's ban, the sale of SN and CF and the panic buys of PM and MA. They'll be ok soon enough, they need time to gel and they'll be fighting for 4th again soon!
