Remember the Carling Cup Semi Final when Dougie Freedman was the gaffer at Cystal Palarse.

Remember the taunt about us at City being "scared stiff" before the second leg?

Remember how that inspired our team and fans into action?

Looks like the Palarse taunting is starting up again:

Remember that atmosphere and the fire in your belly when we wiped the grin off the Palarse pr machines faces?

Let others do our team talk and let's show them the old Ninian atmosphere starting next Tuesday.

Time to wake this sleeping dragon into action methinks!

Judging by the lack of responses maybe we are scared or perhaps that dragon needs a lie in until the morning <laugh>

Stop watching Spurs and respond!

Maybe the Palace fans are tempting fate?

Then again, maybe you are setting the scene for a sedate 0-0?

It seems to me they are the ones who are running scared.
Why bother to state the obvious? they have to catch Hull and Watford first, so why not have a word about them, get into second spot and then talk about us.
Party games that might come and bite them in the arse.
Then again, maybe he is doing us a favour and spurring us on.
Either way we all know the race isn't over and Palace are not there themselves yet.

Sweet!
Palace seem to have an infatuation with us going back to big Malcolm Allisons taunts about us probably struggling to get 20,000 in to watch the Hereford game in 76, days after we had beaten Big Mals side up at Selhurt. Over 35,000 turned up when we beat Hereford. :1980_boogie_down:

Who wants to swap places with the teams below us?

We seem to need to worry about the team below us but they can only seem to worry about us when we would happily settle for second spot right now.

Ah well next games might give us all something to worry about. Apart from Bristol and Posh everyone else can catch us by the sound of it.

Cardiff fans are only concerned with the next game which is against Leicester, it is what we do that counts we do not have to rely on other teams.

With Watford drawing with Wolves and Hull losing heavily to Bolton and Palace during the very time they might have caught us one wonders what exactly we need to be scared of?

I agree that is the only thing that Cardiff players, fans, managers and owners should be concerned with. Only you guys can say whether that is the only thing that you are concerned with. I hope you are slightly distracted... if not you will almost definitely win the league.

As an aside, from my point of view the MM factor is less important to Watford now than it has ever been. Not because our feelings have changed (quite the opposite, every point a Welsh league club picks up makes leaving Watford for the money look like a better decision), but because Cardiff City currently stand between us and our best chance of winning this division in my lifetime.

Our previous best effort was 2008, but that was before we decided to replace Marlon King with Nathan Ellington.

I remember Palace kicking us all over the park while the ref stood by and let them back a couple of years.
Now it seems they are being given a penalty if anyone sniffs near them in the box.

It's desperate when you're hoping for other teams to fail, I'm glad we don't have to do that, it sounds like failure.

Good old WOL. Put a headline to grab folks attention when it's the usual snippet from the whole sentence.

Headline: Cardiff City are 'feeling the pressure' says veteran striker Kevin Phillips

Actual comments: "Drawing at home against Derby will be a bit of a blow to them so maybe they are starting to feel the pressure a little bit.”

They didn't omit too much did they? More rubbish from the local rag.

With regards to the London rag, fair comments from Ollie but I do not recall us being any more than 11 points clear at any time this season.

I was told yesterday that we talked to Phillips in January but would not pay what he was asking.

BfB, signing off for weekend as going to Poole. Watching Bournemouth play Donnie on Saturday. I will pass on everyone's regards to Quinny!!!

It's funny too see the similarities in views from others fighting to get out of this league. Just the other day BfB raised the subject of atmosphere at CCS. It should be buzzing with capacity crowds singing their heads off but there is a feeling of supressed excitement around the place.

Have a read of these views I found while browsing around a foxes lair:

http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/86624-atmosphere-at-games/

Symptom of the modern game?

This is two clubs with the 5th and 7th highest average attendances in the division.

I unashamedly push this thread back up there as a rallying cry to the faithful.

A win on Tuesday will send out a message loud and clear to those looking to catch us. Be loud and be proud even before kick off and keep supporting the boys for a full 95 minutes. Wear your red blue or even purple if that's your thing but get behind this team.

Something to read over while others think we are the team under pressure:

This has become Leicesters biggest game of the season......... when they lose against us they then have games against Palarse and Il Watfordano, they could be out of the play offs in a week or so, what with forest and brighton closing in on them.

With the results from yesterday Tuesdays game has a lot less pressure attached to it. Hopefully people will be loud and not as nervous as we seemed against Derby.

It's a must win game for Leicester, they know it and we know it. Time for the fans to put more pressure on them.

Come on you Bluebirds.

Everyone in the top 6 is dropping points here and there yet we're the only ones who are bottling it <doh>

**** all the others :emoticon-0173-middl

We just need to concentrate on ourselves and let them fight it out for whatever positions are left. As long as we go up I really couldn't care less who else gets up (Although my preference would be Hull for 2nd purely based on our last game of the season)

Such a long way to go yet though and we have a huge part to play... **** all the red/blue bollox on match days and get behind the team <ok>

I'm expecting an end to end game with Leicester having to come at us, opening up gaps at the back. Just the sort of game to suit Bellars and Campbell who will relish the space created between their midfield and back line. If this isn't a goal fest there will certainly be a lot of shots on goal.

These teams below us messing up are doing our job for us. Must wins are now in the " a draw would be good" category!
Lesta can't be as bad as the recent form shows, don't know what's going on there, but it's liable to change anytime soon.
A win for us would really might stop others thinking they can grab top spot off us(Watford, Hull have crooned on about this) But they are of no concern to us till we play them, and Hull might not matter by then.
Games are running out for the others, but for us there are still too many left. Any win now is gold to any in the top 4, lets hope we can start the run in proper come Tuesday night with a resounding win.

To get back to the initial thread, how ironic is it that our last home game is against Freedmans current team Bolton.
It would be great, hopefully, celebrating the championship in front of him.
