Had we lost last night, like on so many previous occassions, we would have had the flood of why did we get rid of NW, why didn't MH make a sub that changed the game, PK let an easy one in, JB was awful etc etc Yet we record an heroic win and there is still vitriol and disappointment. JB is crap, PK could have done better with the first, PK palmed the second into his path, Diakite looks a worry going forward, TT cant defend etc. Why not rejoice FFS?? What about - PK pulled off a string of quality save starting with the one on one to keep us in the game JB had a bad game but he accepts that so is now in a position to sort it MH got the subs just right as they worked and had the desired influence Great cross from TT for Cisse Great to see the unity at the end and everyone in it together. If another team had done that to us we would have moaned like hell and said why cant we have a manager that responds to the game and a team that battles to the end showing great team spirit and passion. Many seem to have forgotten how to enjoy the moment. It's games like this that set a platform to build on which we dearly need. Get behind the team and push on to safety. You rrrr's!!
We did enjoy the moment, but now we want moments like that every week, and no excuses! In fairness, very good post there, couldn't agree with you more.
Yeh Good post mate. We were cr*p the first 20 minutes, but after that we were as good as Liverpool and it gives us a good basis now to go on and hold our PL status. I enjoyed last night immensely - sat in my Ale shirt and scarf screaming my head off so loud I thought the neighbours would start complaining, and today is just great!
Glad to see you arrived home safely Norway. What a night!!! PS Have a look at my posts from earlier this week on the ' Cisse - No Mercy ' thread.
Well said 74, no complaints from me. I'd given up when the 2nd went in but the team didn't and fair play to them, they knocked Liverpool out of their complacent stride in the last 15 minutes. It was a bit like a boxing match where you're well behind on points but your opponent runs out of gas and is taken out with the sweetest of punches...
Are we incapable of enjoying the moment? DT: Wonderful it feels like a big burden have been lifted from my life.. I noticed birdsong while walking through the park to the offfices, I gave a tramp a fiver. FJ: Looks like it could rain at the weekend again and her indoors has made a list
We played badly at the beginning but improved later on. Unfortunately my stream did not work from the 68th minute on so I had to watch http://www.ergebnisselive.com/ for live scores which left me stunned - I missed all 3 goals. I strongly believe that we will stay in the PL after that result (and we did have some results that we should have won). So no disappointment for me I guess....
I noticed that the threads with the most comments were about Barton - as QPR fans we love a moan dont we!
I don't think we were particularly bad for the first 20, Liverpool were just so good. Every pass was perfect, the movement was unmarkable and their understanding was spot on. We came into it when we realised that the long lump forward wasn't working and we played them at their own game. As for the last 15 mins, simply incredible.
Yes you are absolutely right, everybody agrees, including Barton so why do we keep sticking the boot in!!! Football is a squad game played by a team of 11 at any one time (or 10 in our case!) Inevitably not all will perform so they get subbed as happened. The team won lets celebrate or does only Mackie count as he got the winner!
It's all about timing Oslo But to be honest I wish that every QPR fan could have been there last night and experienced it, amazing stuff. Memories for life. Cheers, some night right Tired today but so worth it. Had a hard time trying to get some sleep last night. Even woke up at 4:30 desperate for water, acute dry mouth Incredibly accurate, I will be all in on a 1-0 win at the weekend after missing out yesterday "with the 3-2 correct score backers on Betfair turn £10 into £560.50" YOU KNOW I WAS SAYING I WOULD PUT A TENNER ON YOUR PREDICTION WHEN WE GOT IN THE GROUND, ONLY TO FIND OUT THERE WASN'T ANY PADDY POWER BOOKIES IN THE UPPER LOFT... Nice one
Lost my voice screaming at a dodgy Greek internet stream, the boy won a fiver he couldn't afford to lose off a scouse supporting schoolmate who was 'off sick' today, Chelski lost after being ahead, very good night all round. We went for it last 15 but it never felt out of control wide open at the back attack. Repeat that intensity in the next games and someone is going to get the stuffing we are well overdue to deliver. The boys are beginning to click....we will go unbeaten at home for the rest of the season. And yes I do know who we are playing.
