Just seen the match on cable here and..... well its a game of 2 halves was never more appropriate!!! Think Roy has spent too much time at Home Park... doing well, change from opposition and to be frank... battered. Are Argyle the new England? Will the FA be in admin soon and what would that mean to the chances for qualification (would we get a 10pt penalty)
I commented that at the time mexijan. It was spookily like watching Argyle all over again. I think Fletcher has moved into HQ and infiltrated.
Shows how odd football can be tho Sensible. Is Hodgson inexperienced, players on the park had played a game or 2 but still could not turn it around. Have been there myself everyone knows we have to push up, get hold of it in midfield and control the game but easier said than done. Seems so easy from the stands but when your out there things are different!!!
I haven't been "out there" for quite a number of years mexijan. I remember myself as a slightly built winger with a fantastic turn of pace and pin point crosser of the ball. Mind you the mind does play havoc when you get past a certain age though. I have pictures to prove the racing snake build but nothing to prove the rest of it. Maybe this is a thing creeping into English football in general. Comfortable first half and take the lead with no worries and then forget everything in the 46th minute including turning up. They did end the match going forward though and the Montemen were hanging on for the draw so even they forgot what they were doing well.
Yep I think I was the midfield general in the same team you played in. Well at least in my mind!!!! I think my point was sometimes no matter what the gaffer tells you and with all best intentions sometimes the game just gets away from you and how to stop it? Well that is a mystery, maybe it is the same for the guys at top level as well?
