Hardly any leave Hull City to go on and better themselves:

    Certainly in recent years.

Brian Little > last year sacked from Gainsborough Trinity. Unemployed.

Molby > Stint with Kidderminster, not managed since.

Parkinson > long time back as a number 2, now at Bradford.

Taylor > is he still international manager of Timbuctoo or whoever it is?

Brown > PNE dumped and now unemployed

    Dowie > <laugh>

Pearson > Back at small time Leicester

Barmby > Probably join the coaching staff at Leicester

Hardly an incentive, we are the club that can take your career vvvvvvv

More likely Hull City have a bad habit of getting the managers wrong. We have very few who have been a success over the past 50 years or so.

Cliff Brittain - Colin Appleton - Brian Horton(1st time) - Peter Taylor - Phil Brown are the only managers who have won promotions at the club in that time. So only 5 would indicate that maybe so.

I would be very interested in seeing how we compare to other clubs. I get the impression that there are very few consistently successful managers anywhere and that for every one you see there are ten times as many that don't make it.

That said, our track record isn't great.

I was going to say the same thing, but managers like Parkinson/Molby, their stock was rising, until they joined us!!!

Then there are the managers of teams that have played us, lost to us - and been sacked.

(One of you will have the necessary facts/details)

But the players have fared slightly better. I remember when they were all City -> Non-league -> retired

Lol..... think you might find that Pearson could see what was round the corner & was subsequently proved right by the way your owners have treated "ONE OF YOUR OWN"
If that's the way you treat one of your own..............?????
Pearson may offer Nick a role with us though, as he would learn a lot from him & before you start taking the p1ss, I can back myself up by saying Chris Powell @ Charlton Athletic, even tho Sven was our manager when he went there, he went on record to thank Nige for " The part he played in developing him into a coach at LCFC & subsequently, successful manager @ CAFC "
As for "small time Leicester".......... What are you tryin to say you are BIG time Hull ? Have you absconded from the Allam Marine Looney Bin or what you Chancer !

I didn't say anywhere in the passage we were BIG time. We did finish above you though in fairness!

I think anyone coached under the school of Nigel Pearson master tactician, will only get so far. His team selection, formation and match strategy will IMHO only ever be good enough for the top half of the Championship/Play Offs. I can't ever see a team he has assembled challenging for the top 2 or making the premier league. He is far too negative.
