Are transfer committees and directors of football disappearing?

Given recent developments are we going to get back to a strong manager who chooses what players to buy and picks the team as well?

As well as that there's been sackings of people who had to work with a committee
West Brom disbanded their committee to get Pulis in

 

It was stupid that managers were getting sacked for the performances of players the committee and director of football brought on.
