Genuine question. Just wondering for those of you on twitter. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/915608...er-abuse-from-spurs-fans-after-chelsea-defeat
Sadly enough the internet, for all it's positives has encouraged arseholes to be able to insult and abuse people with little or no comeback. If they are spurs fans they should **** off cos plastic twats aint wanted here
No real football fan would act like that so whoever they follow. They just morons that get pleasure out of attention from throwing abuse
I will say that after the abuse i saw chris armstrong get for daring to return from a serious injury, it wouldnt surprise me.if these are people that call themselves spurs fans
I will never forget the disgusting treatment people like Armstrong, YP Lee, Stalteri, Jenas, Pratt, Venables and many others have taken from Spurs 'fans'. I think that many of our 'fans' are horrible people, and on the few occasions I bother with the Lane these days I'm more likely to have a row with our own whining, negative, moaning fans, than I am wiht the oppo.
I think you'll get a red for that one, O.S. as for Twatter, why does anybody bother with that garbage??
Feel terrible for them, all that money, must be hard playing a game they love for shed loads of cash. Mostly the abuse is cos its so easy to vent on the internought. Face to face in a bar they'd have been licking his arse. Players have off games, but fans they can be consistent.. ..arseholes. Would be interested to know how many of those that abused him have actually been to WHL. Just doesn't seem to be the behavior of a proper supporter though neither is booing your team in the second home game
Twitter: The place celebrities think they own. Half the time it's "Been to Nandos" (Jenas), "Beat you on FIFA13, bitch" (Walker), "had roast dinner with my mum" (JD) They join, have nothing to say, then leave. Walker getting abuse, like he does most weeks, was just an excuse. Friedel manned up a couple of weeks ago. The other's should take note, or piss off from my internet. Yes, my internet; I was there first. The abuse on Twitter is tame compared to many other sites. If they really want a voice, they should post on their own website.
So true! These are guys who likely sit on their couch all day, don't even watch the game and just read a stat on the BBC. I'm all for criticism of a player if it's warrented and Walker's is certainly warrented but name calling and abuse isn't needed, for anyone, not just footballers. Spot on. They know full well that there's going to be idiots on Twitter that'll chat sh*t and chuck abuse, if they can't take it they should've never of joined. I had a "row" last week because I tweeted my amusement at Modric being left out the Madrid game vs Barca and had a Croatian guy reply and call me a peasant and that I'd kill my own mother to earn a fraction of the money Modric does... Needless to say after what I tweeted back he ended up blocking me but fact is, there are always going to be idiots on places like that. Just ignore them/ block them or be like me and ridicule the f*ck out of them ... Otherwise don't join the site.
The idiots everywhere have always outnumbered the decent people, and always will. The tw*tosphere merely confirms it.
If we are all honest, which ever team you support,I guarantee there has been at least one player of your team you couldn't stand. Mine was John Pratt.Couldn't pass a ball to save his life.Ran like mad all over the pitch and did score a couple of good goals but....YE GODS!!!!
