Found this in the bath this morning it had a span of about 3 inches from leg to leg. Can't remember who it is that likes spiders, but enjoy. please log in to view this image
Think it was the DR who did a spider thread not long back. I don't think they get any bigger year on year, you just get some ****ing big house spiders. Had to evict one this morning, couldn't pick one up but would never, ever harm one. Amazing creatures, lots about at the mo. in the garden
When the spider is in the bath; shower on full heat and walk away! All other times; let the dog at it.
Spiders eat bugs and other spiders... Good to keep around. That one big spider has probably eaten a dozen little spiders and a dozen bugs since he's been in your house. Isn't he worth keeping around and naming George?
End of September and early October is house spiders mating season, the BIG ones are the females, they get spider banged, the poor little male spider who made her preggo pops his 8 little clogs due to exhaustion and the expectant mummy spiders carry loads of eggs around with them. They are also aggressive during the mating season. http://www.express.co.uk/news/natur...-Warning-Giant-House-Spiders-Homes-Garages-UK
I actually like spiders. It would be good if they could evolve to the size where they can eat badgers and cats
