That was a poor first half, it reminded me a bit of the west ham game. Stats tell all really, i am getting a little concerned now for the remainder of the season. We dont seem to have that bounce back ability that we have had in the past. I am almost sure that we will not recover a result from the current score line and we seem to have very little posession these days. I was watching ssn and they are saying we look very poor. A little worried now as qpr, saints and sunderland picking up points now. Could leave us in the mix at the end of the season.
Another totally abject performance, sideways passing, nothing up front, no real fight and Hughton hasn't got a clue what to do as per usual. Notwithstanding he's up front alone, Holt looks a shadow of what he has been and frankly looks past it. That's now 5 defeats and a depressing 0-0 home draw in the last six games. Spurs next week then a resurgent QPR to follow (I haven't bothered looking any further ahead), I'm now more than worried !
If we're lucky, ****ing pathetic display and totally embarrassing and if anyone thinks I'm exaggerating the're obviously not watching
Alarm bells are starting to get a little louder ! We HAVE to spend this window in order to survive, this team are not going to get out of this spiral without some help.
Theres not enough sideways passing because theres not enough movement to advocate passing it forward. We are just trying to go forward regardless of opportunity and giving it away.
We have every aspect of a good team. Strength, pace, creativity etc but we just can't get all those qualities on to the pitch at the same time. Theres no balance, if we want a little more of one aspect we surrender another and it's being worked on and exposed by our opposition. We need to address it. Next week is a big game.
i am finding it hard to see 3 worse sides at the moment than us, really looking over our shoulders & if we are not careful we will be in the bottom 3, hate to say it but it could really happen.
Hooper just scored, will he want to join after he see's the highlights this evening! (that goes for Graham too!) Kayal is the one we need though!
't Don't make me laugh, slinging balls into the box is not creative. Pace is no use if a) the player with it can't control a ball, b) They can't make intelligent runs c)We have players who can release those runs. None of our 2 quick players can do a and b, and we have 2 midfielders who can do c. Our team is not balanced because all the eggs have been slung into the deep long cross basket.
