Doesnt seem to matter how positive the post or the story is on this board it just gets swamped in misery. I'm not suggesting we should pretend everything is rosey but I've seen so many attempts at positivity shot down in flames lately I could almost believe we are going down (which we are not).
Husssssh, keep your head down. No room for positivity or positive thinking in this place. The doom is near, or so I've heard.
Oops sorry I forgot, ok here goes. We are rubbish, all of our players are rubbish, Mark Hughes doesnt have a clue, TF is Flavio in disguise, we are going down and Loftus Road smells of poo! that should do it.
The Wolves and Blackburn would be worse that QPR boards and I highly doubt Wigan and Bolton are much better.
I've tried to be positive but to be honest its dragging me down especially when so much us damned if they do damned if they don't. Take JB - we ask for passion and leadership and when he comes out showing it he gets shot down for doing so!!
Tell me about it, I can understand everyone not reading much into the usual pre-match PR puff pieces the offish puts out but this week after the Four Year Plan premiere it just feels like the words coming out of the camp seem more genuine. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
I was the ultimate positive poster not very long ago but I have very little faith remaining in this group of players.
Yeh, there's a lot of negativity, but never mind there is nothing at all on our relegation rival Boards! They're not even inteersted, and that must be even worse!
We are yet to see our first team play together so thats a real shame! I'll reserve judgement until we are down or we have a full squad to pick from and still continually fail!
When your team has only won once in the last god knows how many games then its sometimes hard to find positive things. for me the realisation of our plight has probably only just sank in this week. before i was thinking Nah we won't go down, we will win our next game! And so on. if we struggle to get anything tomorrow then pleas don't keep telling people to be positive, let them get angry and despondent as it is their right just as much as yours!
Get angry and despondent, it's not for me to dictate however I have managed a number of large teams through a variety of circumstances. If there is one thing I know as a result it's that they don't respond to being told they are utter crap and we've all given up on them. The management art is to find those positives, motivate and build on them. The reason I stay positive is because I think thats more likey to help than the opposite. A rocking Loftus road like the Chelsea league game will inspire them more than the boos last week. So until we're dead and buried I'll keep trying to motivate and fight for survival starting with some vociferous singing tomorrow. I just hope others join in!!
With hindsight we've made some huge mistakes: Bothroyd, Macheda (**** as well as a homophobic piece of ****), Barton, SWP and firing Sir Neil. However I forgive TF even if he's a bit 'Bule gila'.
Im speaking as a fan 74 not a manager, although fergies hair dryer treatment hasn't done too bad for him over the years!!
totally agree. Not that I get down there much of late, but I believe a rocking loftus road week in week out will win you a significant number of points each season. When we take our seats, we have a job to do just as the players do. Not everyone wants to sing every song, some don't want to say a word, that's fine, but there is surely a correlation between crowd volume/energy/involvement and performances/results.
This thread kind of sums up the board at the moment. Virtually every thread turns into an argument about either being over optimistic or over pessimistic/critical. Getting a bit sick of it to be honest!!
