I think its called financial reality kicking in kidda. We are all bound by it these days.

I have to admit although he has a **** PR team around him, Ashley's business plan for the craas is spot on.

My MD, who's a fairly astute bloke, thinks Ashley's a genius. Mind you, he also said Newcastle would murder West Brom!

As you said Cest, his PR team are not the greatest, but all realists agreed his biz plan had to work, and it is working, the Freddy Sheperd era had to come to an end. the real fans of the club will be breathing a sigh of relief I should think.

Shudder to think where we'd be if Douglas Hall and Freddie Shepherd were still in charge. Probably looking at a ground share with Gateshead!

I'm very much a PIB though, I think he could be the first real manager to bring stability in a long time. The blip we're having worries me, but not too much as we were in a great position before it started, so are still left in a good position now despite having a bad run of games. Had we been mid-table, we'd have dropped to near enough relegation places, but we're not quite that bad just yet. I don't think that just because Sunderland collapsed under Bruce after starting well, that we will too.

I bet you had your fingers crossed when you typed that BGD ;)

I doubt there will be many PoB around yet - he seems to have won most folks over and even I think he comes across as a decent bloke when giving interviews... although there would always be his personal relationship with Ashley and his past exploits with players wives that I would find a bit unsavoury. If it doesn't bother most folks then it isn't an issue.
