I believe they have a buy back option in 2 years so I hope its a lot of money and not what we paid for him.
It says in the article that the price will be double what QPR paid for Granero, but with Modrić in the team and Jose Rodriguez advancing from Castilla I still doubt it. But you never know.
Even if its true its a great bit of business. The alternative was he would go to rivals but we wouldn't have his services for two years and we double our money.
Pirata, I saw you posted that you're from Bosnia, but you seem to know more than the average fan about Madrid / Spanish football - do you live there, or are you just a bit more football focused than the rest of us?
I don't live in Spain. Balkan people are really fanatics when it comes to football. I used to watch Castilla matches from time to time but now with Qpr I just don't have the time. I also really like to be informed about the club so I read their newspapers. The articles that are really interesting I try to translate from Spanish.
You guys know faurlin is owned 50/50 with inter? It's not uncommon but it's normally dodgy Italians who broker these type of deals, gp no longer about (thankfully) and I highly doubt this story is true
I watched Borussia Dortmund B vs some team B some time ago and a lot of players were co owned with Italian teams even players form Borussia. i never knew it was possible.
I remember a few years ago when Inter were the biggest spenders in World football, they were spending millions of pounds on certain players they did not even want to sign just so they would not be able to play for another Italian team
The buy 50% and after 2-3 years they have a blind auction where both teams bid for the player and the highest bid wins. We should have done that with Hulse and then bid 50p for him.
I thought we gave Inter a million or so when we bought him just to escape their rights to him. Is my mind playing tricks or did I only get half the story? I do hate these third party things and see how they prey on kids from impoverished backgrounds.
I believe we totally own Faurlin, Im not even sure part ownership is allowed here as it falls under the 3rd party bit that the FA hate so the closest you can get is a buy back clause after 2 years which is what we have with Granero.
Udinese, Watford and Granada are now essentially one mega club, sharing and developing players and selling them on - brand new and profitable business model for the Pozzo family.
Christ. Mediocre football clubs are joining forces to become multi-national corporations. My faith in the game is fast diminishing. If QPR ever become like this then my season ticket is going back.
