Watching the game back from yesterday and having watched us I just wonder whether we are too naive at times for the following reasons.
    1) Mbwia should have known by challenging Suarez he was going to get sent off.
    2) Tiote walked back into play when he should have walked off the pitch, therefore meaning that Suarez would have been offside.
    3) Remy went through on goal rather than draw in Skrtel he gave Skrtel a chance to get the ball which he did, Suarez didn't give Mbwia a chance.
    4) The amount of silly careless red cards we have picked up over the last 6 months.
    5) The amount of silly penalties we have conceded since our return to the Premiership.

I think the first 3 points are just individual errors.
Taking the last two I think our record over the past 2-3 years has been one of improvement to be fair (don't have any stats just gut feel). We do need to keep these as two key areas of focus though as they can cost us some serious points.

Individual errors, perhaps but we have picked up some careless yellow cards as well, if we could cut on these naive errors then there is no reason why we can't finish top 8 this season.

Sorry to but into your conversations again, but yes to the first 3 based upon yesterday. M'bwia reminds me somewhat of Djimi traore who played for us sometime back. Because he often got out of position or found himself squared up by opponents, his lunges and recklessness costed us about three pens and umpteen dangerous free-kicks a season. And the word doesn't take long to get around for professional, predatory, 'clever' opponents to put pressure on both the player and the ref and try their luck. It becomes an ever-growing snowball.

He'll be targeted again throughout the season, so I hope you have lots of faith in him. Perhaps it'll be the making of him. Djimi traore was possibly the worst player to win a CL medal in the last ten years though. :emoticon-0138-think

We are naïve but quite a bit is down to a lack of experience, leadership and communication problems. Not rocket science of course but we do lack a bit of nous and game management skills.
