It's going to be a very interesting couple of days/weeks with that situation

It's probably going to get political, but we are acting like a big club. We aren't going to be **** on by Villa.

Not room in those pathetic dug outs at CR for 6 of them plus all the subs and doctors and psychologists and agents and book publishers and personal trainers and 6 bottles of lucozade.

I would love Culverhouse to stay but I can't see it now with all of Hughtons back room staff in ? Think it will just all be about the compo talks now ? We'll see how Villas stance is on there version of events regarding PLs resignation !

Just listened very carefully and McNally clearly states, "We had been encouraging PL to increase his coaching staff, so both Ian and Gary are staying in their current roles with the same responsibilities and will be joined by the rest of the coaching staff and be part of a bigger team!!!" I think they'll have to make the pitch smaller so that they can get everyone in - OH! not forgetting the crate of lucozade!!! <cheers>

HMMM - I wonder what odds I'd get at the bookies that we finish above the Villians next season?????

if they are staying we'll have a bigger backroom staff than first team squad!

    but, it would be FANTASTIC!!

i still wonder if this is mcnally playing games with lambert and villa but to be honest, who cares about the compensation if we get to keep them? definitely makes you wonder if there WAS a falling out between them all...

    Very very interesting comments

It looks as if Hughton will be employing a larger staff, would be fantastic in my eyes. defensive and offensive coaching etc. All very positive.

we look like we are moving from a pretty basic, league one if you like, set up, to a proper, premier league set up. that can only be viewed as a good thing and if cully and karsa are to be a part of that then all the better!

Be great to have more advanced coaching to bring even more out of the players.

Amazing if Karsa and Culverhouse stay very exciting times ahead. It'll also be interesting to see what happens at Villa if they don't go there too....

    Wow! If it is true.......

Lambert has given so much credit to Culverhouse and Karsa for the success of the club over the last 3 years, especially Culverhouse. I wonder what it will be like at Villa without the 3 together?

    Very interesting!

Indeed, I wonder how well Paul Lambert would get on without them. I hope for his sake he can, but for Villa's sake he can't. Of course, we're not aiming to keep them to spite Lambert, we are doing it because they are quality personnel who the club would be weaker without.

Great interview. Some honest and direct answers, unlike the press conference, which was all predictable media soundbites <ok>

My thoughts exactly and as others have said, we seem to be heading in the right direction. Must pay the bookies a visit at the weekend!!

I won £25 for my bet that GH would score more than 10 goals in the EPL!!!!

I actually won over £100 by betting on NCFC results (lost it all again mind you, but overall, only lost £20 all season).

The consistency on the training ground and their knowledge of the players will be invaluable to CH. if we're prepared to pay them Im sure CH will be happy to have them around at least for a season. If the new team gels nicely hopfully longer.

Just the video above. Far better than his general interview before hand. He's certainly got a busy holiday with all of last season's games to watch!

It could of course all be mind games. Maybe their time here is done, but the more we appear keen to hold on to them, the more Villa will have to cough up to prise them away - assuming Lambert really wants them that badly. <ok>
