It appears to me that city are a second half team, nearly all season they only start playing when there is a need to be more positive,so why cant they play this way from the kickoff,I put it down to a lack of motivation in the dressing room .

Certainly seems that way. Look at number of goals scored late on. Positive from a fitness aspect but why the hell cant they get fired up in the first half?
Is it all about holding position and keeping shape? It's like they need to go behind to become more adventurous. Seems an odd philosophy to me.
Couldn't believe that watching it last night. We dropped so deep from kick off surrendering the midfield to a football side that tore our back five (I'm including Pack) to shreds.
Haven't we learned anything from recent games? It needs to be aggression and high pressing from the start not when we go behind.
I honestly believe that Harris was quite happy to be only the one goal down going into the break and it was part of his "plan" after Hoilet went off. His replacement Murphy might just as well stayed on the bench such was his impact.
Their second just after half time was the killer. With Ward totally ineffective, we reverrted to type and resorted to "blunt injury trauma" by sending on Madine and eventually Paterson to shake them up. It almost worked but what a way to play a football match in this day and age.
Honest opinion of our standing? Tomlin is playing in a side well below his class and I feel sorry for the guy.
