Jaysus,I know 90% of population don't have passports but the remainder ain't filling me with confidence and even Scotland gets a mention(Gambo won't like this,no sirree bob not one bit)

A big deal is made about Americans and their ignorance and their not owning passports, however true that may be, but I bet most folk in Europe are equally oblivious when it comes to American geography, which states border who, what their capital cities are and their history.

Also, if you were American born and bred, would you own a passport. The reason I go on holiday abroad is so I can go and catch some rays, or I want to go to a city that isn't on my doorstep. If you are from say, Maine, then you don't need to go abroad to catch some rays or visit a new city. You already live in a country which is so vast, and has all the luxuries that money can buy, that you don't need to go abroad.

Some Americans are stupid and ignorant, but every community has ignoramuses. The USA is an amazing country built by unlimited immigration and Anglo-Saxon economics, but for some reason, the UK is attempting to turn its back on the gift it gave the world. Who is stupid and ignorant now?

 

You're probably right but if you are going to do a interview surely you would do some research before hand.

Stephen King is from Maine and bases most of his books there and if I hadn't read any of them I would have know FA about that state.As for my geographical knowledge of the USA I got 4 questions right naming midwest states on Pointless last week
