as we have fans on here of all ages it would be interesting to see who our fans most hate col ewe or franchise
Hi Rocky, I've voted for the franchise. Lets see if we can do you a favour at Walsall tomorrow night.
evening monarch i hope you are keeping well mate,i guess your main rivals are southend norwich and ipswich
its mainly franchise for me - i wasent around when the main rivalry with colchester began and, whilst i dislike them, i feel more hatred towards MK due to how they come about.
Morning Rocky, Suppose our main rivals are Southend, always loved the local derby's. Ipswich ?, always had a soft spot for them, used to watch ColU one week then 4 of us would take the 20min trip to Ipswich the following week, always stood in the same spot in the Churchmans stand and just to wind the locals up would support the away team, we got our photo on the back page of the shoot magazine, West Brom had just scored, and in the photo was the 4 of us with arms raised amidst a crowd of gloomy Town fans. They used to tell us to piss off back to Colchester. Norwich ?, good to see them doing well in the Prem., the bad feeling came about when they poached Paul Lambert 2 days after we stuffed them 7-1 at Carrow Rd. and then denied they had tapped him up. Hope we do you a favour tonight, depends on how Wardy lines up, 4-5-1 another draw, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 we could pick up all 3 points.
Nice diplomatic response Monarch I think perhaps most Colchester and Norwich fans would never consider each other as rivals as it has only been in recent seasons that we have met each other in any kind of competition. Would be like saying Peterborough & Cambridge are rivals for us but in reality they are not as we rarely get to play them. As for the OP's question - Franchise every time. Although I never really liked the original Wimbledon (all about their style, or lack of it), I was never happy to see what happened to them. I hope the MK version never make it out of League 1
col u for me ,the pure hatred between the fans a few years ago will never be matched by the tinpot franchise
Col u every time. the franchise would dearly wish to be considered a derby game but a football rival has to be a real football team(and thats as close to a complement col u will ever get from me). Not a stitch up by w*nkleman and co with a league position stolen from another group of fans end of the day you dont do that to other supporters. imo.
