Ok, so with just 8 games remaining now and 7 of them falling in April its set to be an exciting/nervy month coming up. How many points do you think we'll need to gain autos and how many to secure playoffs? Here are our remaining fixtures - how do you reckon we'll fare in these. I've put my predos in brackets. Baring in mind Im a pessimist at heary when it comes to Norwich. Sat 2 15:00 H Scunthorpe (2-0 Norwich) Sat 9 17:20 A Swansea City (1-2 Swansea) Tue 12 19:45 A Watford (1-1) Fri 15 19:45 H Nottm Forest (2-1 Norwich) Thu 21 19:45 A Ipswich Town (2-2) Mon 25 15:00 H Derby County (3-1 Norwich) Sat 30 15:00 A Portsmouth (1-1) May Sat 7 12:45 H Coventry City (3-0 Norwich) So thats 15 points from a possible 24 I predict. Which would leave us with 82 points (definitely enough for playoffs). What do you reckon. Not the worst set of fixtures I feel, although the Swansea and Pompey game are tough uns and the Ipswich one as a derby could be tight.
I do not want to say how we are going to do but am quielty confident if we can get a result of any kind at Swansea, an automatic position is a distinct possibility. Of course we need to turnover Scunthorpe first! I agree Pompey away is likely to be tricky but with our away form I would hope again for 1 point and probably do not expect more from that game. Watford away - god alone knows what will happen their! Our record at the Vicarage is not brilliant, even when we are going well. Need to contain Danny Graham to get anything out of this one I think. The other games, including our near neighbours, I think we will take all 3 points. So maybe 17 points. If we do get a point at Swansea I think this will be enough to clinch the automatic place - just.
