I think that depends on what you're looking for from the keeper. Migs is better in the air, Pepe with the ball at his feet. With the system we play, would you prefer someone that can play as a sweeper (Reina) or someone that can help out a team that struggles at set-pieces (Simon)
A keeper's main job is to save shots on goal - so i'd take Migs over Reina. The Reina of 3/4 years ago I'd have back in a flash Current form (over the last season or so) it's a no brainer - Migs.
I always thought Reina was an excellent shot stopper so I don't think there is much in it in that department. Same goes for penalty saves. the only real differences I see are the two I highlighted.
Sturridge scored the sort of goal Torres would of been proud of! ****ing top man. Same goes for Mignolet, 4 points he's saved us now
If you want an answer from those 2 then someone that can help out a team that struggles at set-pieces (Simon).
Reina 2/3 years ago was an awesome shot stopper but silly mistakes were creeping into his game when it came to dealing with simple shots. Think might have just gone stale after being at the same team so long. Penalty saves, I mentioned this a last week, Reina saved a few when he joined but after that the last 2 or 3 years don't think he had a great record. Mig at the moment in these 2 games, doesn't seem any better than Reina in the air, but think it's too early to judge him.
