Michael Appleton has been sacked by Blackburn http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...324/Michael-Appleton-sacked-by-Blackburn.html
This is just rediculous, 3 managers in 1 year and counting ... They are even making Mandiric look committed to his managers!
Steve Kean Eric Black Henning Berg Gary Bowyer Terry McPhillips Micheal Appleton All managed Blackburns first team this season Pretty impressive more managers than players
I read this on twitter but didn't believe it was true. Unbelievable... To be honest, I thought they were higher than where they actually are!
Blackburn's owners are the biggest laughing stock ever Can Michael Appleton get another job before the end of the season to make it 4 clubs in 1 season? Surely that would have to be a record But to be honest I cant see anyone touching him with a bargepole now
No one blamed him for ditching Pompey, but how he left Blackpool would have left a sour taste especially to go to Blackburn. And then to be sacked after 10 weeks
What half-decent manager in his right mind would take that job now? Would be like agreeing to skipper the titanic, even though you know its going to sink and take you down with it!!
They will appoint a manager from India next - no British manager, even one desperate for a job would take the Blackburn job and appointing an Indian manager will boost the Blackburn Rovers brand in the Indian sub-continent (to use thinking outside the box, blue-sky thinking management speak). Also how many chairmen with a shortlist including Appleton are going to sit down and think "Instead of appointing a manager who can take the club forward, ie Adkins, Dowie, Curbishley, No I'll appoint a man who is likely to jump to another job 2 minutes after I've appointed him", so we'll have years of hearing his "expert" opinion on either Final Score or the Jeff Stelling show, considering the BBC seem to love gobsters like Savage (who is so far up Man Utd's rectum it is untrue) he'll probably end up there along with Holloway when Palace finally get fed up his attitude and his Wenger blindness to his own players
Had they stuck with Steve Kean I think they would be at least in the play offs now Remember becareful what you wish for. It just might happen
The current Dr Who, Matt Smith used to play for us at youth team level. He mentions that he captained our youth sides. Here is his view, he's a Backburn fan. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21813282
Heard on the radio earlier that Blackburn have now had more managers this season than Manchester United have since 1971 .. some stat LOL .. on a more serious note, I don't think this helps Nigel Pearson's situation one bit - if our owners are contemplating giving him his P45 thse can now do it knowing that they will look like 'Investors In People' in comparison to the Venkys.
I think this does help NP cause Our owners will look at it and realise a change in manager doesnt guarantee a change in fortune. Stick with NP and we will get play offs. From there its a lottery
