You go 1-2 away from home, after riding your luck throughout the first half. You do NOT then go 4-4-3, taking off a midfielder and replacing him with a striker!!!
4-4-3 would be a shrewd move; giving us an extra player Seriously though, I have to agree. Taking off a striker for a midfielder would have been more sensible!
its not the fact that he brought an extra striker on that annoyed me, its the fact that he moved futacs to the right side and benjani in the centre. We were lumping the ball up to benjani, who can't hold the ball up to save is life. Why not keep futacs in the centre, with benjani playing off him. On a whole though Appletons tactics were good, we were very unlucky.
