Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has revealed their decision to cut season ticket prices was to thank fans for what has been a difficult season. The Seasiders have had three managers this year and sit 13th in the league, just seven points above relegation.â Itâs to reward supporters for what's been, to us, a disappointing season," Oyston said. "I think we just felt it was important, particularly in the economic climate, that we gave the supporters a thank you for their loyalty. "We value the support, the atmosphere they create and next season with a decent playing service, some new recruits and Paul having had time to bed in and introduce his own ideas, I think should be set fair for a better season." Higgs and company should have taken time out to thank the loyalty Rovers ST supporters by reducing our tickets not just freeze them. Why you say as its not just for one season Nick it should be for the last 3 seasons dissapointing entertainment, where they have lost many devoted ST supporters. Actually COR I think that the Rovers Board do seem to know about the posts put up on this board as so many of the ideas suggested seem to be acted upon very soon after they are posted. Good Luck with the suggestion.
Sapphire, you are correct Carry-on, Good points made but this is rare in football though where a club would lower the prices due to a bad season. I cant imagine our board doing this to be honest. It would be nice of course. As you know, Brian Seymour-Smith is a member of the forum and when he has the time, he tries to catch up on matters on here and also on the OS forum as well as update both forums. He has only just recently joined us and bear in mind he has his normal job and family (a life) as well as being the director for the fans which is non paid and he fits in, in his busy schedule. So the football forums, especially ours, will not be a big priority but will be doing his best as and when he has the chance.
