I expect lots of people saw what happened but we pay to be spectators not witnessses! They were winding each other up came together and Richards unfortunately got seriously injured. Football is a physical game and we should be carefull not to sanitize it too much at the risk of it being less a spectacle. It is competitive by nature like rugby. Can you imagine if everyone started suing for industrial injury? It would be the end of the game as we know it. Its unfortunate what happened to Richards and I wish him a speedy recovery but its a witch hunt no one needs

very wisely put born again and tend to agree with it, seems the club are looking for justice, when it looks beyond reach...just one of those things that needs to be stepped away from, an issue not wanted, we need to refocus our attentions back to matters in hand !

though not my favorite player...good luck with your recovery garry richards !!! <ok>

I have already said it elsewhere but will say again, that I believe they are going to have great difficulty in proving this.

I was sat in the Medway Stand in direct sight of Garry Richards, I see him go down but in all honesty I just thought he had fallen awkward on his ankle. I now know this not to be the case, however, even a guy in front of me turned round and asked what had happened, so I would say it would be unlikely anyone in my section could have clearly seen the incident and if the camera never picked it up from the other side, you are then just relying on someone in the RE.

So let me clarify, I am not saying no one touched him, I am saying I never saw anyone touch him, I just saw him go down and look in great stress.

ps. Born Again, sorry mate I have only just seen your post on the other thread after typing this.

Reeks of sheer desperation on Scally's part. Appealing to Gills fans for information on what is widely regarded in some circles as malicious intent...it's a no brainer, McLeod will be placed in the stocks.

I think we just have to let it lie and let Garry get on with his rehabilitation.

sorry but if the rumors are true then surely we should look at this from the prospective of if it happened in the street, if someone did something dilberatlely to you that cause you to break your ankle or any other injury this is assalt simple as, just because it happens on the football pitch shouldnt make it any different, espically off the ball. now i not say or implying anything he just stating an opinion on the debate of whether its worth pursuing or not
