..........doomed I tell ye http://www.football365.com/f365-features/9407518/Preview365-Hull-City I will now spend every Saturday between 3pm and 5:30pm watching "The Turin Horse" just to confirm the absurdity of following the Tigers and life in general too.
As the article rightly points out, if the other teams below us had accrued more points, we’d have needed more points to stay up. Surely, this is a contention that also must strike fear into the likes of Man City. Imagine if Liverpool had accrued more points? Man City might not be champions now. This is my favourite but though: “Hull are stronger than a year ago. It is a coup to have brought in Tom Ince, provided that there are no complications related to his famous father.”
"Club turnover in 2012-13 £17m. Wage bill in 2012-13 £25.9m." Bullshit - wages were no more than £19m in that season, surely?
They're right about the start. If we don't pick up 10 points from the first 5 games then we will really struggle.
Agreed, a cold and impartial assessment of our upcoming season - our squad is improved but PL survival is far from guaranteed.
Football 365 is ****. Does anyone remember articles by a certain Nick Miller? And this from a pre-season predictions article...
Miller's a twat who doesn't appreciate the differences between journalism and blogging - but I wouldn't discount all of 365 just because of him. This season preview is at least written by Phil Cornwall, who I have far more respect for (he's a veteran of WSC and the Observer).
I found it a poor site anyways, most of their articles are copied from somewhere else. He just really did not help.
It's relatively easy to find out where journalists live, if anyone was interested. Curtis Woodhouse might be?
It has to be said, it's probably a fair assessment of last season, even if it didn't feel that negative at the time. This season could go either way. Personally, I think there are half a dozen teams, not including ourselves, who have got potential to fail badly. I think we'll improve on last seasons position.
